What is Lymphatic System

The lymphatic system is a network of tissues and organs that help rid the body of toxins, waste and other unwanted materials.

It is part of the immune system and works to protect the body from infection and disease. The lymphatic system includes the lymph nodes, spleen, thymus, tonsils, lymph vessels, and other structures. The lymph nodes are small, beanshaped glands located throughout the body.

They filter lymph fluid, which contains white blood cells, which help the body fight infection. The spleen is a large, spongy organ located in the abdomen that filters blood and helps eliminate bacteria and other foreign substances. The thymus is a small organ located in the chest that produces Tcells, which help protect the body from disease. The tonsils are a pair of small glands in the throat that help fight off infections.

The lymph vessels are tubes that carry lymph fluid throughout the body. They also help to absorb fat and transport it to the circulatory system.

The lymphatic system also includes the lymphatic capillaries, which are tiny tubes that help to remove excess fluid from tissues and organs. Together, these components of the lymphatic system help to keep the body healthy and functioning properly.

What is the benefit of
Manual lymphatic drainage

 1. Lymphatic drainage therapy helps to reduce inflammation and swelling throughout the body. It can be beneficial for people who suffer from chronic inflammation as it helps to reduce the buildup of fluid in the affected area, thereby reducing pain and discomfort.

2. Lymphatic drainage therapy aids in detoxification. It helps to move toxins and other waste products from the body, which can help improve overall health.

3. Lymphatic drainage therapy helps improve the bodys immune system. By removing toxins from the body, the immune system is better able to fight off infections and diseases.

4. Lymphatic drainage therapy can help reduce stress and tension. As it helps to remove toxins and fluid from the body, it can help to relax the body and ease tension.

5. Lymphatic drainage therapy can improve circulation and lymphatic flow. By increasing the flow of lymph and blood, it can help to improve the overall functioning of the bodys organs and systems

of Manual Lymphatic Drainage to Improve Early Outcome After Total Knee Arthroplasty(TKA)

more information

Lymphatic massage is an important part of orthopedic care. It helps to reduce swelling and inflammation in the affected area, and promotes circulation to the injured area. It also helps to reduce pain, improve range of motion and restore normal function. Lymphatic massage is especially beneficial for patients who have suffered a traumatic injury, such as a fracture or dislocation. It can also be used to aid in the recovery from surgery or to reduce pain from chronic conditions such as arthritis.
